EASTER: The Main Event!

Where, oh where could my Easter basket be. Oh where, oh where could it be?
OH look eggs. How interesting.

What could be under this rather large and oddly shaped blanket?
Yes in our little family we hid all the Easter baskets in different places. Little guy didn't really know he was to look for anything. Daddy had to persuade him to peek under the blanket. When he did. His eyes about popped out!

Yes, it is more Thomas the Train stuff. Why shoot down a good thing? Plus Little Guy had the trains but no train station or track so that is what he got.

He also received a new favorite book, Where the Wild Things Are and a craft apron that can hopefully keep him dry during his dish doing moments. A cheep little basketball hoop with suction cups and ball for the tub. Everyone knows you can't be to entertained when it comes to bath time.

Ya all he really wanted was the train track!! Daddy couldn't get it out of the box fast enough for Little Guy.

This is what we will be seeing for a very, very long time. No other toy will do.

We had to through in Easter breakfast. Well mama did. German pancakes are the tradition after all. Yummmm!

After church the mama let Little Guy play fully dressed in the empty tub with his new basketball hoop. It was also a HIT!

I had to put this in. Perhaps I am the only one that finds humor in this video, put it makes me laugh every time. I have now moved the hoop to the other, less "hazardous" side of the tub.

He loved the eggs too but nothing could keep his attention like the trains.

Trains, Easter baskets what ever filled them was wonderful. However, the true beauty of the holiday is what can fill our hearts and souls. The Resurrection of our dear LORD JESUS CHRIST. HIS love and peace will enlighten the mind and soften the heart. Bless be to GOD for HIS love in sending us HIS son and so doing providing the marvelous plan of HAPPINESS.

GOT TO DANCE!!!

I really am working on getting my Easter pictures posted but I have play this first. I received this by e-mail and I can't stop watching it. This will uplift your day and lighten your mood. Look for the people that aren't involved. How would you react. I think I would jump right in and join them. At least I would like to think so.

The power and joy that music brings to the Human soul!!!

Pre-Easter Festivities!

During our pre-Easter season Little guy wanted to wear his bunny ears all over the place. The chicky glasses didn't hurt the look either.

Group pictures are always appreciated and being silly is something that we do well in our family. I personally excel at it.

Blue Bunny Ear Lov'en is what we are all about.

Our weather report for Saturday and Sunday called for snow showers. So a few of the mommies in the complex decided to have an Easter egg hunt and BBQ on Friday afternoon. It was beautiful and the kids had a wonderful time. Most of the kids were little ones so as you can see the egg hunt wasn't much of a "hunt" more like a "pick up". The hardest part seemed to be placing the eggs in the basket/bag.

Read, Set, GO!!! and they were off! What a grand sight. Little guy found his far share of eggs and some that the older kids just passed on by with out seeing. He still wants to get the eggs out so he can play with them.

These bunnies and chick put on a pretty good party. I think I'll book them for next year. Mommies have to have their fun too!

The snow came as predicted so I was glad that the outside Easter activities had been executed earlier in the week. Satuday Little guy felt like adding a little color to our white wonderland of Spring and dyed eggs. Daddy was hard at work so it was we two.

He loved it and had a hard time understanding why we just put the eggs in and wait. As soon as an egg was done he would put in another. (Notice the half eaten hard boiled egg in the pictures. Little guy also tried to open as many eggs as he could before the coloring began.) The joys of childhood. I am getting better at just letting him make little messes. Isn't that what childhood is about?

In the end we had colorful eggs and fingers. They were just perfect for Easter Morning and our Easter baskets. Even better in our Easter deviled eggs.

The House!

This is our house in Boise, Idaho. It has been on the market for nearly a year and a half. If looks better than this now. This is what it looked like when we bought it. We have had it painted. Planted perennials that line the drive and walk ways and a little tree in the middle of the front lawn.

We are finally in the last stages of selling the house. It is being appraised today and we are scheduled to close on the 17th of April. We ask everyone for your faith and prayers that all goes well and that the house appraises for what it needs to. We appreciate all the support that our families have given us during this hard time. We love you and thank you for your love.

Bye Bye house!

UPDATE: As of April 20th we are no longer home owners!!! YEEHA!!!!
